Peter Maggitti (Mr. Pete®) has dedicated his career to developing early childhood music education programs that support learning settings everywhere. Today, kindergarten and preschool children sing, laugh, and grow their appreciation of music through Learning Through Music with Mr. Pete programs. As a master storyteller, he focuses on creating wonderful tales around fictional characters as part of children's musical performances. His vast repertoire includes learning through music in children's songs, contemporary inspirational hymns, love ballads, and personal, healing pieces.

The Early Years

Peter began writing songs and musical pieces at age five, starting with “little ditties.” As a young adult, while studying elementary music education at Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University College of Music, he found that he loved working with children aged six weeks through nine years of age. At that time, he began teaching music and created Music Time with Mr. Pete. Those music programs reinforced lesson plans supporting the classroom curriculum.

That's what Mr. Pete brings to every interaction. He is grateful for the opportunities and blessings of his career, enhancing children's and their families' lives, but his own life as well.

Frances C. Lynch (Ms. Fran), a lifelong friend of Mr. Pete, has enjoyed a communications career in life sciences, spotlighting groundbreaking biomedical discoveries. Now, she applies that same creative energy to designing and illustrating imaginative storybooks and playful campaigns for original children's music. A dynamic leader, Fran has guided high-energy teams, directed thousands of fast-moving projects, and helped major organizations tell their stories with clarity and impact. Her curiosity and teamwork-first spirit aim to help everyone shine.
